<Div> Vs. <Span> Tags
The <div> and <span> tags are two generic tags that can be used to apply css to whole blocks of html.
The <div> tag divides html into logical sections of grouped content. For example, you might have a page title and logo in one <div>, a menu block in another <div> and some paragraphs of text with a picture in a third <div>.
A <span> tag, on the other hand, is used to apply styles to just part of a section. Maybe you want a to style a particular word or phrase within a paragraph. That would be an ideal time to use a <span>.
