Creating a Virtual Device
Here are the steps to creating an Android Virtual Device in Android Studio:
- Select Tools > Android > AVD Manager which displays the Android Virtual Device Manager Window:
2. Click Create Virtual Device to open the Virtual Device Configuration Window. Select the Nexus 6 Phone and then click Next.
3. Choose the following release version of Android:
then click Next.
4. Leave the default AVD name (Nexus 6 API 23). Click the Show Advanced Settings button, then scroll down to uncheck the Enable Keyboard Input Option. Click Finish.
***NOTE: It may take some time for the virtual device to configure. BE PATIENT!
